Total rail passenger transport performed by the main railway undertakings on the territory of the reporting country, expressed in million passenger-kilometres. Reporting countries may exclude undertakings which mainly provide local tourist services such as preserved historical steam railways. Transport of passengers by metro, tram and/or light rail is also excluded.
